bc-flag1.gif (46046 bytes) The good news is that the vast majority of citizens of British Columbia are covered either fully or partially for podiatric services by third-party payers.

For example, the Medical Services Plan (MSP) partially covers about 27% of British Columbians.

Extended medical plans insure approximately 68% of British Columbians.

There are many other third-party insurers, including:

  • Workman's Compensation (WCB)

  • The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC)

  • Indian Affairs

  • The Ministry of Social Services and Housing (MSSH)

  • The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)

  • The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)

Do you bill these organizations for your services and materials directly?

In most cases, we will be able to bill MSP, WCB, ICBC, DVA, Indian Affairs, and Social Services claims directly.  You probably need not pay us first.

For extended benefit programs, however, we must bill you, and you would submit your receipt to your extended benefit program for reimbursement. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Interac, personal cheques, traveler's cheques, Canadian and U.S. currency.

We also offer Medicard financing for services.  This is basically a loan provider for Canadian medical services.
